If you still have time, visit the sites of Ceibal and Aguateca, hidden in tropical forest; Quiriguá, home of the highest Mayan stelae; and Copán in Honduras, with its masterpieces of sculpture.

Day 3 - towards Lake Atitlán
Across the highlands visiting Iximché, former pre-Columbian capital
Day 4 - villages and landscapes of Lake Atitlán
Meet Tzutuhil culture in Santiago Atitlan and other lakeside communities
Day 5 - towards Quetzaltenango
Surrounded by ten volcanoes and various villages with handicrafts
Day 6 - back to Guatemala City
